The tower server chassis of the HPE ProLiant ML110 Gen10 Server can be outfitted with a single 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processor ideal for enterprise-class performance and reliability. The CPU socket supports 6x DIMM slots via 6x memory channels. Storage solutions on this system include up to 4x to 8x hot-swappable Large Form Factor SAS/SATA drive bays or 8x to 16x Small Form Factor SAS/SATA drive bays. System expansion is achieved through 5x PCIe slots accessible from the rear of the system.
Designed for high-performance computing tasks at an affordable price point, the HPE ProLiant ML110 Gen10 Tower Server is outfitted with a single 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processor. The CPU socket supports 6x DIMM slots for one DIMM module per channel and a maximum memory capacity of 192GB of DDR4 memory. Storage solutions on this system supports either 3.5-inch large form factor (LFF) drives or 2.5-inch small form factor (SFF) drive formats but mixing of drive cage types is not permitted. Five PCIe 3.0 slots provide generous expansion capabilities.
A single 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processor provides the necessary computational power for the HPE ML110 Server. The hardware configuration on this system supports CPUs with a minimum of 4x physical cores to a maximum of 16x physical cores and thermal design point (TDP) of 110W. Virtual threads range between 8x and 32x, depending on installed CPU. System cooling is achieved through dual standard fans which can be increased to 4x fans using an optional fan kit.
One memory channel is allocated per DIMM slot for a total 6x DIMM slots. The HPE ML110 Gen10 Server supports a maximum of 192GB of memory using 6 x 32GB Registered DIMMs (RDIMM). Compatible memory speeds on the HPE ML110 Gen10 Tower Server range between 2133 MT/s and 2933 MT/s depending on the processor generation, CPU category, and memory modules installed.
This system offers several different configurations to support your storage needs and bolster your business. It works with both 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch drives. the 3.5-inch drive configuration supports a maximum of 96TB, while the 2.5-inch option supports a maximum of 61TB. Hot plug SATA and SAS, HDDs and SSDs are supported on this system. With SFF drive cages, this system comes with 8x storage bays which can be upgraded to support 16x Small Form Factor drive bays. Outfitted with LFF drive cages it offers 4x standard drive bays with the option to upgrade to 8x LFF drive bays. Depending on the storage configuration, you can install an optional DVD-ROM or DVD RW optical device. There are several HPE Smart Array storage controller to choose from including the integrated S100i SR Gen10 offers limited software RAID. Other PCIe based performance RAID controllers provide hardware RAID that support levels of 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60, 1 ADM, and 10 ADM. Performance RAID Controllers require the HPE Smart Storage Battery. An HPE Universal SATA SSD enablement kit supports one M.2 or 2 M.2 drives, which can also be RAIDED using the integrated S100I SR Gen10 controller.
There are five PCIe 3.0 slots to expand your system capabilities for graphic processing, or the additional of network controllers and HBA/RAID controllers. Three of the PCIe slots are x8, while the other two are x16 slots. The Smart Array storage controllers also connect through the PCIe slots providing RAID options for the storage devices and are required for SAS drive implementation.
On system management is simplified with the standard iLO management port on the rear of the system and another on the front of the system. The HPE iLO 5 is supported by 32MB of memory and 4Gb DDR3 with ECC protection. To unlock more features, iLO can be upgraded to Advanced, which offers smart remote management functionality, with the purchase of a license key. Also available is iLO Advanced Premium Security Edition and HPE OneView Advanced bringing additional levels of automation to infrastructure management. An iLO mobile application allows Administrators to access the system anytime from anywhere using a smartphone or other mobile device.
