Constructed on a 7nm process based on the Navi 21 graphics processor, the triple-slot AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT GPU features 26.8 billion transistors. Up to 80 ray accelerators, 128 ROPs, 320 texture units, and 5120 stream processors are generated with this card. The peak pixel fill rate supports up to 288GP/s and a peak texture fill rate of up to 720GT/s. It has a peak computation performance of 46.08 TFLOPS for half precision and 23.04 TFLOPS for single precision. The frequency at which the GPU runs is 1825 MHz, with a potential boost to 2250 MHz.
Triple axial fans for cooling and quiet performance are on the front of the die cast aluminum frame. The Radeon RX 6900 XT GPU needs up to 300W of typical board power generated by 2x 8-pin power connectors and a minimum of 850W for the host system PSU. The GPU connects to the system via a PCIe 4.0 x16 interface and has two DisplayPort 1.4a, one HDMI 2.1 connector, and one USB Type C port for connecting up to 4 monitors.
