The AMD-based RS520A-E12-RS24U server delivers 12x 3.5” hot-swap drive bays on the front panel for NVMe, SAS, or SATA configurations. The rear of the chassis supports an additional 2x 2.5” SATA hot-swap drive bays, plus another 2x connectors on the motherboard for NVMe M.2 drives to boot the operating system. It offers up to 5x PCIe Gen5 slots with 32GT/s bandwidth, which is twice the speed of PCIe 4.0. The following PCIe slots are available: 2x PCIe Gen5 x16 or 4x PCIe Gen5 x8 slots, 1x PCIe Gen5 x8 slot, as well as 1x OCP3.0 PCIe Gen5 x16 slot. The chassis can be equipped with 1+1 redundant 1600W 80 PLUS Titanium power supplies or 1+1 redundant 1600W/1200W 80 PLUS Platinum power supplies.
The ASUS ASMB11-iKVM, integrated with the ASPEED AST2600 module on the motherboard, facilitates remote management. Through the web-based ASUS Control Center, users can manage software updates, hardware, and other system components. Access requires a license, enabling administrators to efficiently monitor workstations, servers, and other equipment from a centralized location.
