The 6-bay chassis supports 2.5” SATA/SAS/NVMe SSD drive bays on the front panel. It features a single third-generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor that can support up to 36 cores. At only 16 inches deep, the platform complies with MIL-STD, NEBS, and Marine standards. Up to 2x 75W or 150W single-width GPUs or 2x 300W double-width, full-height, full-length GPUs can be mounted on the server board.
Dell EMC PowerEdge XR12 Server - System Overview
Either Registered (RDIMM) or Load-Reduced (LRDIMM) memory modules are supported in the 8x DDR4 DIMM slots. RDIMMs provide a maximum of 512GB, meanwhile LRDIMMs support up to 1TB of RAM. Up to 4x Intel Optane PMem 200 series modules can also be utilized for a maximum capacity of 512GB. The system is powered by a variety of power supply options, including 1400W Platinum, 1100W DC, 1100W Titanium, 800W Platinum, or 800W DC PSUs. The PowerEdge XR12 also supports 4x 25GbE SFP+ LOM and 5 x PCIe Gen4 slots. Improved control over this server is made possible by built-in temperature management, telemetry streaming, and RESTful API with Redfish. This machine can be utilized for telecommunications, military, retail, and restaurants with extreme temperatures, vibration, dust, and more.
