In addition to the storage drives on the front panel, each server node has an internal 1.8” SSD slot to boot the operating system with up to 120GB or 240GB. The PowerEdge C6300 chassis is not designed to accommodate the mixing of the PowerEdge C6320 and PowerEdge C6320p sleds. Delivering up to 64GB per memory module slot for 384GB at capacity, each PowerEdge C6320P server node features 6x DDR4 LRDIMMs or RDIMMs under the hood for a total of 24x DIMM slots in the C6300 chassis.
On the rear of each C6320P sled there is an embedded 1 Gigabit Ethernet controller (RJ45), a single x16 PCIe 3.0 half-height, half-length slot, and a single x4 PCIe 3.0 mezzanine slot. The integrated Dell Remote Access Controller 8 (iDRAC8) with Lifecycle Controller can assist with the deployment, monitoring, and update of PowerEdge C6320p servers over their whole life cycle. The chassis is powered by dual hot-plug redundant high-efficiency 1400W or 1600W power supplies.
