Capable of delivering up to 2TB of memory per server node, system wide, it can provide a total of 8TB of DDR4 memory. Each PowerEdge C6525 server node offers 16x DDR4 memory module slots that can be outfitted with Registered (RDIMM) or Load Reduced (LRDIMM) memory modules offering speeds of up to 3200MT/s. On the front of the chassis, flexible drive configurations include 12x 3.5” SAS/SATA HDDs or 24x 2.5” SAS/SATA/NVMe drive bays. Under the hood, administrators can deploy an uSD card for firmware updates and optional M.2 SATA BOSS 1.0 to boot the system.
Meanwhile, the rear of the chassis supports 2x PCIe expansion risers, each with a x16 PCIe 4.0 interface, OCP 3.0 SFF card slot, iDRAC Direct Micro USB port, and a mini display port. Optionally, instead of the M.2 BOSS 1.0, users can install a x8 PCIe SATA M.2 riser. In the middle of the 2U chassis between the server nodes are dual redundant hot-plug power supply units offering either 2000W or 2400W. Air cooling is by default with optional direct liquid cooling available.
Dell’s iDRAC with LifeCycle Controller with Redfish, and Dell’s OpenManage software suite, enables inventory discovery, monitoring, management, software upgrades, and easy deployment. Both can also be used to remotely or locally manage the system using an intuitive browser-based interface.
