Maximum memory capacity per node is achieved using 16x 256GB DDR5 memory modules. With each chassis outfitted with 4x dual socket Dell PowerEdge C6620 server nodes, each with 56-core CPUs adding up to 448 cores per chassis, that would provide up to 8,960 cores in a standard 42U rack. Housed in the PowerEdge C6600 enclosure, the multi-node Dell PowerEdge C6620 server node is a compute-dense system built for workloads that require a lot of computing power.
With a cyber-resilient architecture, the PowerEdge C6620 server node features several options for storage and PSU configurations. Users have the option to install up to 16x 2.5-inch SAS, SATA, or NVMe HDDs or SSDs, up to 8x E3.s NVMe SSD drives, or simply have a system with no backplane for compute only. This platform supports PCIe Gen5 offering twice the speed compared to Gen4 PCIe slots to quickly access and transport data. This system offers optional liquid cooling.
