The 5th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, codenamed "Emerald Rapids,” are the foundation of the 1U, dual-CPU Dell PowerEdge R660 server. This rackmount system supports E3.S Gen5 storage, DDR5 memory, and configurations with liquid CPU cooling. It accepts up to 10x 2.5-inch SAS, SATA and Gen5 NVMe SSDs in certain configurations. A new backplane option includes support for up to 16x NVMe E3.S (7mm) drive bays. Additionally, the R660 features 2x optional 2.5-inch hybrid rear drive bays. It can be outfitted with 2x 75W single-width GPUs, and features optional Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) configurations.

Dell PowerEdge R660 Server - System Overview
With up to 64 cores and optional Intel QuickAssist Technology, the 5th Gen CPUs deliver a maximum of 8TB of memory across 32x DDR5 memory module slots with speeds of up to 4800 MT/s. The PowerEdge R660 is ideal for high density virtualization, dense database analytics, and mixed workload standardization. The Dell chassis offers a variety of storage options and power supplies.
