Offering up to 3x PCIe Gen5 slots with a x16 connector, the PowerEdge R6715 server also supports dual OCP 3.0 slots for NVIDIA and Broadcom cards. The OCP 3.0 card slots support a number of different port connections and network communication speed from 1GbE to 400GbE. The system can either be cooled by fans or with direct liquid cooling (DLC). There are two options for redundant power supply configurations: a 1+1 800W to 1800W 80 PLUS Titanium power supply or a 1+1 800W/1100W 80 PLUS Platinum power supply. Behind the optional bezel a number of drive bay and drive types are supported.
Optional Storage ConfigurationsTo manage the R6715 server independently, users can deploy the Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC10), which is embedded within every PowerEdge server. iDRAC10 enables both local and remote access, without the need for additional software installations. It supports RESTful API, which includes Redfish with particular extensions, enables efficient and scalable server management. For more features and control over your entire infrastructure, Dell offer OpenManage Enterprise or OME. OME enables administrators to track and control power usage, as well as manage updates automatically. Several integrations allow for use with VMware vCenter, Microsoft System Center, and Windows Admin Center.
