Outfitted with dual sockets, the Dell R760xa server is housed in a 2U chassis. This server is designed for AI inference and training, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning applications. CPU options include 4th or 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors with a thermal design point of 350W. Using 5th gen CPUs with system will support a maximum physical core count of 64x, and a virtual thread count of 128x. Each CPU socket has 16x DDR5 DIMM slots for a total of 32x on the system board. Fully configured with both CPUs, the maximum memory capacity on this server is 8TB with speeds of 5600MHz, when 5th Gen Intel Xeon CPUs are installed. Storage options include 8x 2.5-inch hybrid drive bays, 6x E3.S Gen5 NVMe drive bays and 6x 2.5-inch NVMe drive bays. Each CPU also has a single M.2 NVMe drive slot ideal for fast access storage needs or OS installation.
The Dell R760xa Server houses up to 12x PCIe expansion slots which can be populated by single or double slot GPUs. A Dual port 1GbE LOM card is available on this system along with a single OCP 3.0 card. A dedicated integrated Dell Remote Access Module or iDRAC port on the back of the server provides for remote management of the system either using iDRAC 9.0 with Lifecycle Controller or the Dell OpenManage suite for one-to-many servers. To power the Dell R760xa rack server, options include dual 3200W, 2800W, or 2400W Titanium rated power supplies in a redundant configuration. System temperatures are regulated via 6x hot-plug fans.
