With up to 28 drive bays and a total storage capacity of up to 616TB, the Dell PowerEdge R760xd2 Server is an excellent choice for content delivery networks, file, and object storage, plus video capture and retrieval. Loaded with 2x 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors supporting up to 64 cores and optional Intel QuickAssist Technology, this system maximizes storage and GPU accelerators. Up to 16x DDR5 DIMM slots are available for a maximum capacity of up to 1TB of DDR5 RDIMMs offering speeds of up to 4800MT/s. Using Power Manager, the intelligent management software, administrators can maintain air cooling by utilizing the best chassis, fans, and baffles.
The system supports up to 5x PCIe Gen4 slots, with slot 5 dedicated for an internal PERC card. It also supports 2x 1 GbE LOM and an optional OCP 3.0 card. Among all of these slots, the PowerEdge R760xd2 Server supports up to 2x 75W single width GPUs, or 1x 75W single width GPU plus 1x 150W single width GPU, or just a single 180W double width GPU. Prioritizing storage, the R760xd2 server offers front, internal, and rear drive bays for up to 28 total drive bays. An optional boot optimized storage subsystem or BOSS for installing the OS can be outfitted with 2x NVMe M.2 drives in a mirrored RAID1. Depending on how the system is configured, there are several options for powering the system ranging from 700W to 1800W Titanium and Platinum PSUs.
