The Dell PowerEdge XR7620 is a short-depth, dual-socket, 2U server that offers high performance, high capacity and reduced latency. Under the hood, there are two 5th or 4th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. Processors with a maximum TDP of up to 350W are supported with 8 to 64 cores each. Each CPU offers 8x DDR5 RDIMMs, for a total of 16x memory modules slots, supporting a maximum of 1TB of memory along with speeds of up to 4800MT/s. Behind the optional lockable smart filtered bezel that withstands dusty and harsh environments, there are two options for drive bay configurations. Either 4x 2.5-inch SAS/SATA/NVMe SSD drives or up to 8x E3.S NVMe direct drives can be mounted on the front of the system.
As part of Dell’s ruggedized line of servers, this Dell system is an all-purpose platform built for telecom, defense, retail, and other demanding edge deployments. The short-depth PowerEdge XR5610 server delivers up to 2x PCIe Gen5 expansion slots plus a slot for an optional OCP 3.0 mezzanine card. The chassis has 4x 25GbE SFP+ LOM ports on the rear. Offering remarkable flexibility, the system can also be outfitted with dual 75W GPUs with single-width, full-height, half-length form factors. The air-cooled server supports several power supply units including 1800W Titanium, 1400W Platinum, 1100W Titanium, and 800W Platinum PSUs. In addition to military and defense deployments, the system is well suited for 5G vRAN and ORAN telecom workloads, as well as retail AI applications including video surveillance, IoT device aggregation, and PoS analytics.
