The Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX300 S7 server is a dual-socket, rack-optimized platform that provides scalability and flexibility. This server is ideal for businesses of all sizes. This is a cost-effective solution featuring new power management tools and 94% efficient power supplies.
The Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX300 S7 server is a scalable platform with support for up to 16 processing cores in a dual-processor configuration. The system has five high-efficiency fans which are all hot-swappable to keep the system up and running during replacements. With up to seven PCIe 3.0 slots and ten USB 2.0 ports, there’s a lot of options for both internal and external device support. This server is ideal for businesses of all sizes and can handle a wide-variety of applications including cloud and virtualization.
Intel’s C600 chipset supports one or two Intel Xeon E5-2600 processors which deliver up to 80% more performance compared to the previous generation. Two to eight cores of processing power are available depending on the processor model chosen, with up to 16 cores available with two top-of-the-line processors installed. Most processor models will support Intel’s Turbo Boost 2.0 technology which accelerates processor performance during peak loads by allowing processing cores to run faster than their specification limit when temperature and power limits are below their rated operating frequency.
There are two drive configurations available allowing system admins to choose between large or small-form-factor drives. Large-form factor (LFF) configurations support up to six drives. Using small-form factor (SFF) drives the system can house up to 16 drives. SFF drives consume less power, have a quieter operating noise level, and increase performance, but LFF drives provide higher capacities. The Fujitsu RX300 S7 supports both traditional spinning HDDs and high-performance SSDs, as well as both SAS and SATA, drive connections. Fujitsu provides upgrade kits for hard disk drives, backup devices, and Linear Tape Open (LTO) drives to expand storage potential when needed.
Systems with just a single processor installed will support up to five low-profile PCIe 3.0 x8 slots. Installing a second processor will provide two additional low-profile slots with a x16 electrical lane. There are ten USB 2.0 ports throughout the server with two at the front of the system, four in the back, and four internal.
Fujitsu’s ServerView Suite software provides a centralized approach to system management by grouping server, storage, and application resources together in a central pool. Management tools are divided into five tabs: Deploy, Control, Dynamize, Maintain and Integrate. ServerView’s Installation Manager (SV IM) is located under the “Deploy” tab and provides Wizard-guided steps for server configuration to reduce the amount of time spent on server deployment. A comprehensive set of power management tools are included allowing businesses to save on operating costs.
The Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX300 S7 server is a dual-processor, rack-optimized platform powered by Intel’s Xeon E5-2600 processor family. Processors can reach speeds of up to 3.30GHz and offer up to eight cores and 20MB of cache each. This server can be configured with either large or small form factor drives and supports both traditional HDDs and high-performance SSDs. Memory capacity is impressive with support for up to 24 DDR3 DIMM slots to provide a maximum memory footprint of 768GB. Fujitsu’s ServerView Suite software has a user-friendly interface and provides all the necessary tools to manage this system throughout its lifecycle.
