Ideal for networking applications, the Gigabyte E283-Z91 Edge Server is a housed in a 2U chassis, with support for up to 2x AMD EPYC 9004 or 9005 Series Processors. Each socket holds 12x DIMM slots for a total of 24x DIMM slots on the system board, and a maximum memory capacity of up to 6TB. Accessible from the rear of the server, there are 4x 2.5-inch SATA/SAS4 hot-swappable drive bays. Expanding the capabilities of this system are 3x PCIe Gen5 x16 slots per CPU.
The Gigabyte E283-Z91 server houses up to 2x 4th or 5th Generation AMD EPYC Series Processors and a total of 24x DIMM slots. The configurable Thermal Design Power (cTDP) rating is listed at up to 300W per CPU, however under limited thermal conditions CPUs of up to 400W are supported. There are 2x 1GbE LAN ports on the rear of the system along with a single management LAN port. A total of 4x 2.5-inch SATA/SAS4 hot-swappable drive bays are available on the rear as well. A SAS card is required for support for SAS devices. Each CPU is also in charge of an OCP 3.0 card slot with a PCIe Gen5 x16 bandwidth
Powering this system are either dual 1600W 80 PLUS Titanium or Platinum power supplies in a redundant configuration, depending on which revision. Each CPU is connected to a single M.2 slot which is ideal for fast access storage needs or OS installation. To regulate the temperatures in the system, there are 4x 80mm fans in the chassis.
