Liquid-cooled for HPC and AI training the Gigabyte G262-ZL0 server is powered by dual AMD EPYC 7002 series processors, as well as 7003 series CPUs with AMD 3D V-Cache technology. Each of the two 7nm architecture CPUs are placed on top of a cold plate with a cool liquid inlet and a warm liquid outlet. The 4x NVIDIA HGX A100 SXM4 GPUs are also liquid cooled, and use NVIDIA’s NVLink technology interconnect for GPU-to-GPU communications. On the front of the system, there are 4x 2.5” NVMe Gen4/SATA hot-swap drive bays, but a SAS card is required for SAS devices support.
Compatible CPUs feature up to 64 cores, 128 threads, and a configurable thermal design power (cTDP) range of up to 280W. The system offers up to 4TB of DDR4 memory when all 16x DIMM slots are populated with 256GB 3DS RDIMM/LRDIMM modules. 2TB of RAM can be offered with 128GB non-3DS RDIMM/LRDIMMs.
In total, the 2U G262-ZL0 GPU server can support up to 5x low-profile PCIe Gen4 x16 slots, with 4x that can be accessed through the rear, and a single slot on the front panel. Additionally, the system also supports 1x OCP 3.0 Gen4 x16 slot and 3x M.2 PCIe Gen4 x4 slots both onboard and via optional riser cards for 2242, 2260, 2280, or 22110 cards. This system comes certified-ready with software partners such as Red Hat, Ubuntu, Citrix, VMWare, and Microsoft Azure. Depending on the revision, either 40GB or 80GB accelerators are supported. Each NVIDIA A100 SXM4 tensor core GPU features multi-instance GPU or MIG to deliver up to 7x accelerators in a single GPU. These GPUs provide one of the worlds fastest memory bandwidths at over 2TB/s.
