With two AMD EPYC 7003 or 7002 series processors, the 2U Gigabyte G262-ZO0 server is a high-performance computing and artificial intelligence training machine. These CPUs support AMD’s Zen 3 architecture with up to 64 cores and a cTDP of up to 280W per processor, and includes those with AMD 3D V-Cache technology. In addition, the system features 4x AMD Instinct MI250 OAM GPU accelerators with AMD Infinity Fabric Links Technology, each with 128GB HBM2e memory. On the front panel, there are 4x 2.5" Gen4 NVMe/SATA/SAS hot-swappable bays, but a SAS card is required for SAS devices support.
When 256GB 3DS RDIMM/LRDIMM modules are installed in each of the 16x DIMM slots, the system can accommodate up to 4TB of DDR4 memory. Using standard RDIMM or LRDIMM 128GB modules will provide up to 2TB of RAM. Up to 6x low-profile PCIe Gen4 x16 slots can be supported by the 2U G262-ZO0 server, of which 4x can be accessed through the rear and 2x on the front panel.
The machine also supports 1x OCP 3.0 slot with PCIe Gen4 x16 bandwidth, plus 3x M.2 PCIe Gen4 x4 slots that can be used for additional storage or to boot the operating system. Compatible M.2 drive sizes include 2242, 2260, 2280, or 22110 cards. Two integrated 1GbE Lan ports provide for basic network connections. With software partners including Red Hat, Ubuntu, Citrix, VMware, and Microsoft Azure, this system is certified ready out of the box. The system is powered by dual redundant Platinum level power supply units (PSUs).
