At maximum memory capacity this platform can provide up to 4TB of DDR4 memory. On the front panel, 4x 2.5” hot-swappable drive bays that can be configured with Gen4 NVMe/SATA/SAS drives but a SAS card is required for SAS devices support. 4x NVIDIA HGX A100 40GB/80GB SXM4 GPUs provide acceleration for high-performance computing (HPC) applications with their ability to handle massive datasets, and render complex simulations.
CPUs with up to 64 cores, 128 threads, and a maximum configurable thermal design power rating (cTDP) of up to 280W can be loaded into the LGA 4094 sockets. A maximum memory speed of 4800MHz is possible with up to 4TB of DDR4 RAM when 256GB 3DS RDIMMs/LRDIMMs are installed in all 16x memory module slots. Half of this memory capacity is available using 128GB standard RDIMM or LRDIMMs. Combining NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPUs with high-speed interconnects via NVIDIA’s NVLink technology delivers impressive performance gains. Acceleration is vastly enhanced with A100 80GB GPUs simply because a single HGX A100 can have up to 1.3 TB of GPU memory and more than 2 TB/s of memory bandwidth.
Under the hood, there are a total of 3x M.2 PCIe Gen4 x4 slots both onboard and via optional riser cards for 2242, 2260, 2280, or 22110 for factor cards. The G262-ZR0 server offers 6x low-profile PCIe Gen4 x16 slots with 2x on the front and 4x on the rear, plus 1x OCP 3.0 Gen4 x16 slot. Two 1GbE LAN ports via Intel I350-AM2 and one dedicated management port let users modify the system's fan speed, CPU temperature, and other parameters using the Gigabyte Management Console, which accesses the system through the integrated Aspeed AST2500 management controller. Two redundant 3000W (240V) 80 PLUS Platinum supplies power this platform.
