Outfitted with a single AMD EPYC 9004 or 9005 Series processor, the Gigabyte G293-Z23 GPU Server is ideal for AI training, AI Inference, and high-performance computing. With 12x DDR5 DIMM slots available on the system board, the maximum memory capacity is 3TB. On the front of the server chassis, there are 4x 2.5-inch Gen5 NVMe/SATA/SAS hot-swappable drive bays and 4x 2.5-inch SATA/SAS hot-swappable drive bays. Up to 4x dual slot Gen5 GPUs are supported on this system.
CPU options on the Gigabyte G293-Z23 server are limited to those with a thermal design point of 300W, and under limited conditions, up to 400W. Options include CPUs with up to 192 physical cores and 384 virtual threads. For fast access storage needs or to support the operating system, the CPU is connected to dual M.2 drive slots. Dual 10Gb/s Base-T LAN ports can be found on the rear of the chassis, one of which being a Broadcom BCM57416 port. In addition, there is a single 10/100/1000 management LAN port. With 4x FHFL slots supporting up to 4x double-wide GPUs there are two additional low-profile PCIe x16 slots for expansion options. All PCIe slots are Gen 5.0.
Powering this system are dual 2200W 80 Plus Titanium power supplies, in a redundant configuration. To regulate system temperatures, there are 4x 80mm fans. The Gigabyte Management Console comes pre-installed on the G293-Z23 server. It grants access to a web interface and is easy to integrate with 3rd party applications. For managing more than one server, the Gigabyte Server Manager or GSM offers more robust features and leverages the Gigabyte Management Console through the GSM Agent. Additional software applications allow users to use VMware vCenter for real=time monitoring. There is also a mobile app compatible with both Android and iOS operating systems.
