Up to 16x single-slot PCIe Gen5 x16 GPUs can be deployed on the Gigabyte G293-Z43 GPU server. This system is powered by dual AMD EPYC 9004 series processors with up to 32 cores, 64 threads and a maximum TDP of up to 210W per CPU. A cTDP of up to 240W is supported at ambient 30°C. While standard RDIMM modules support up to 2TB of RAM, 6TB of memory can be deployed when all DIMM slots are filled with 256GB 3DS RDIMM modules. The front panel features 8x 2.5" hot-swappable drive bays.
The 8x front 2.5-inch drive bays support 4x Gen5 NVMe/SATA/SAS bays and 4x SATA/SAS bays, which can handle a considerable amount of data. If deploying SAS drives, a discrete SAS card is required. Each AMD processor supports 12x DDR5 DIMM slots, with 12-channel memory architecture, for a total of 24x DIMM slots on the system board. Memory will run at up to 4800MT/s depending on CPU and memory modules. In addition to the 16x PCIe x16 (Gen5 x16) FHFL slots for GPUs, this server has 2x PCIe Gen5 x16 low-profile slots that can be accessed through the rear of the chassis. Supported applications include AI, AI Training and Inference, plus High-Performance Computing (HPC).
The 2U, 2S G293-Z43 GPU server also supports dual 3000W (240V) 80 PLUS Titanium redundant power supplies that work together with Gigabyte’s Smart Crises Management and Protection (SCMP) technology. With SCMP, in the event of a faulty PSU or overheated system, the system will force the CPU into an ultra-low power mode that reduces the power load, which prevents the system from unexpected shutdown and avoids component damage or data loss. This platform can be managed both locally and remotely using software such as GSM Server, GSM CLI, GSM Agent, GSM Mobile, and GSM Plugin using the dedicated GbE management port on the back of the system. Also included are dual 10GbE ports.
