Supporting up to 16x single slot Gen5 GPUs, the 2U Gigabyte G294-S43 GPU server holds 2x Intel Xeon 6 processors from the 6700 series with E-Cores, 6700 series with P-Cores, or 6500 series with P-Cores. CPUs with a maximum TDP of 225W are supported, making this platform suitable for AI, AI inference, visual computing, and more. Highlighted by lime green tabs, the system is equipped with 8x hot-swappable 2.5" drive bays compatible with Gen5 NVMe, SATA, or SAS4 drive types. This system is powered by a dual 3000W 80 PLUS Titanium redundant power supply.
The Gigabyte G294-S43 delivers 24x DDR5 DIMM slots with an 8-channel memory architecture compatible with standard RDIMMs and MCRDIMMs. RDIMMs can achieve speeds of up to 6400 MT/s when configured with a single DIMM per channel (1x DPC) and up to 5200 MT/s with dual DIMMs per channel (2x DPC). On the other hand, MCRDIMMs, which are only supported with Intel P-Core CPUs, can reach speeds of up to 8000 MT/s in a 1x DPC configuration. It's important to note that the Intel Xeon 6 processors from the 6700 series with E-Cores are limited to a maximum of 16x DIMM slots.
In addition to the 16x FHFL PCIe 5.0 x16 slots for GPUs spread across 4x risers, 2x more low-profile Gen5 x16 slots are available for HD controllers or network interface controllers. If only 1x CPU is installed, some PCIe or memory features may not be function. Each system comes with Gigabyte’s own software, the Gigabyte Management Console pre-installed. Gigabyte Management Console provides management for a single server or small cluster for real-time health monitoring, among other features. For more comprehensive management of clusters of servers, the Gigabyte Server Management or GSM is available for download. This software allows you to manage the system remotely or directly from the chassis using various tools like GSM Server, GSM CLI, GSM Agent, GSM Mobile, and GSM Plugin for use with VMware vCenter.
