Featuring 4x AMD Instinct MI300A Accelerated Processing Units (APU) and 4x dual slot Gen5 GPUs, the 3U Gigabyte G383-R80 GPU Server is designed for AI training, AI inference, visual computing, and high-performance computing. There is 128GB of High Bandwidth Memory 3 (HBM3) per APU, which has a bandwidth of 5.3TB/s. On the front of the system there are 8x 2.5-inch NVMe hot-swappable drive bays compatible with Gen5 NVMe drives. Dual LAN ports on the front of the system offer data transfer speeds of 10Gb/s.
The AMD Instinct MI300A APUs are limited to a thermal design power (TDP) range of 550W, which includes, the CPU, GPU, and memory of the system. Each APU offers 24x Zen4 CPU Cores and 228x CDNA3 compute units. In the case of fast access storage needs or OS installation requirements, the Gigabyte G383-R80 offers a single M.2 slot with a PCIe Gen5 x4 interface. Dual 10Gb/s BASE-T LAN ports accessible from the front of the server in addition a dedicated 10/100/1000 management LAN port. System expansion is achieved by 4x PCIe x16 full-height, full-length slots, or up to 8x PCIe 5.0 x16 slots with a x8 link, half of which will be occupied if dual slot GPUs are installed.
Powering this system are 3x 2200W 80 PLUS Titanium power supplies, with an additional fourth PSU for redundancy purposes. This server ships with the Gigabyte Management Console pre-installed, granting access to a web interface for remote management of the system. It is easy to integrate with 3rd party applications. Managing multiple servers is handled by the Gigabyte Server Manager (GSM). It offers many features and utilizes the Gigabyte Management Console via the GSM Agent. The companion mobile app is compatible with both Android and iOS operating systems.
