At 4U, the Gigabyte G493-SB1 GPU Server supports up to 10 dual slot PCIe 5.0 GPUs and 12x 3.5-inch hybrid storage bays up front. With dual processors the system supports 5th generation Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs, plus Max series CPUs with a thermal design power (TDP) of up to 350W. Outfitted with a full compliment of 3DS RDIMM memory modules in all 32x slots, it can support up to 8TB of memory.
With a dual root configuration, each of the processors controls 5x of the GPUs with communications between CPUs handled by the Ultra Path Interconnect (UPI). In addition to 10x full-height, full-width PCIe gen 5.0 x16 slots to support the GPUs, there are 2x low profile PCIe 5.0 x16 slots that can be used to support high-performance NICs. 2x 10GbE ports provide integrated network support along with a dedicated management port. Gigabyte provides several software utilities to manage the system, including the Gigabyte Management Console for a single server and the Gigabyte Server Management (GSM) utility for multiple server or large clusters. The Gigabyte G493-SB1 Server is designed to support applications in AI, AI training, AI inference and high-performance computing. 4x 3000W 80 PLUS Titanium level PSUs at the back of the system provide 3+1 redundancy.
