Gigabyte G493-SB2 Server

Offering 8x PCIe Gen5 x16 full-height, full-length slots for double-wide GPUs, the 4U Gigabyte G493-SB2 server also holds 4x PCIe Gen5 x16 full-height, full-length slots on the rear and an additional 2x PCIe Gen5 x16 low-profile slots on the front panel. The 12x drive bays on the front of the 4U chassis can be configured with 3.5” or 2.5” drives for NVMe Gen5, SATA, or SAS drives. A SAS card is required for SAS devices support. A total of 32x DIMM slots can be populated with 256GB 3DS RDIMM modules for up to 8TB of memory. All of these components are powered by 2x Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs of the 4th or 5th generation, including Max series CPUs with a thermal design power (TDP) of up to 350W.

Gigabyte G493-SB2 Server - System Overview

The following drive configurations are supported by each processor: 2 x NVMe from CPU 0, 2 x NVMe from CPU 1, 4 x NVMe from PEX89144_0, 4 x NVMe from PEX89144_1. The Gigabyte G493-SB2 GPU server has one M.2 PCIe Gen3 x1 slot in addition to the front drive bays, which can accommodate cards with 2280 and 22110 form factors. Two 10Gb/s BASE-T LAN ports via Intel X710-AT2 and one dedicated management port allow Administrators to manage the system's fan speed, CPU temperature, and other parameters with the Gigabyte Management Console or the Aspeed AST2600 management controller.4x 3000W (240V) 80 PLUS Titanium power supplies offer 3+1 redundancy to power this platform.
