The Gigabyte G494-SB0 GPU server features dual-sockets and is equipped with Intel Xeon 6 processors from either the 6700 series with E-Cores, 6700 series with P-Cores, or 6500 series with P-Cores. CPUs supported include a TDP of up to 350W, making them ideal for demanding applications such as artificial intelligence, visual computing, and high-performance computing. With 8-channel memory architecture, there are 32x DDR5 memory module slots with 16x slots per socket.
Standard RDIMMs can achieve speeds of up to 6400 MT/s with 1x DIMM per channel or up to 5200 MT/s with 2x DIMMs per channel. Additionally, Multiplexor Combined Ranks DIMMs (MCRDIMMs) are supported exclusively with Intel P-Core CPUs in a 1x DIMM per channel configuration, allowing for speeds of up to 8000 MT/s. The 4U G494-SB0 GPU server supports 8x FHFL PCIe 5.0 x16 slots for double-wide GPUs, conveniently accessible from the rear of its chassis. Moreover, there is a single low-profile PCIe x16 (Gen5 x8) slot located on the front panel, positioned above the storage bays. It's important to note that if only one CPU is installed, some PCIe or memory functions may be limited.
The server has 12x hot-swappable 3.5” storage bays, which can be configured with either 3.5” or 2.5” form factor drives. Eight of these bays, marked with lime green tabs, support Gen5 NVMe, SATA, and SAS drives, while the remaining 4x bays, indicated by blue tabs, are dedicated to SATA and SAS drives. A storage card is required to support SATA and SAS configurations. The system is powered by 3+1 redundant power supplies, featuring 3000W 80 PLUS Titanium efficiency. Pre-installed, the Gigabyte Management Console provides cost-free management of a single server or small cluster. Gigabyte Server Management (GSM) software can be deployed to control the system at-chassis or remotely by utilizing programs such as GSM Server, GSM CLI, GSM Agent, GSM Mobile, and the GSM Plugin for use with VMware vCenter.
