Based on a single AMD EPYC 7002 or 7003 series processor, the 4-node Gigabyte H252-Z12 server delivers up to 64 cores and 128 threads per node, with a cTDP of up to 240W. The 2U system has up to 8TB of DDR4 memory when all 32x memory slots are filled with 256GB 3DS RDIMM or 3DS LRDIMM modules. Half of this capacity is available using standard 128GB RDIMM or LRDIMM modules. Each node supports 3x of the 12x 3.5” SATA hot-swappable bays on the front panel. Under the hood, the platform offers 8x low profile PCIe x16 expansion slots and 8x M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 slots.
The H252-Z12 server can be used for file storage, edge computing, and more. It’s powered by dual 1600W redundant 80 PLUS Platinum PSUs and can be managed by the Aspeed AST2500 management controller or Gigabyte Management Console (AMI MegaRAC SP-X) web interface. Furthermore, this device provides 4x dedicated management ports, 4x OCP 2.0 Gen3 x16 mezzanine slots, and 1x CMC global management port.
