The Gigabyte H262-P61 server is a 2U, quad node system designed for high-performance computing, hyper-converged server applications, and hybrid or private cloud server deployment. Each node supports 2x Ampere Altra Max or Ampere Altra processors and 16x DIMM slots for a total of 8x CPUs and 64x DIMM slots across the system. The maximum memory capacity on this server is 32TB. Each node is connected to 2x 2.5-inch SATA hot-swappable drive bays.
Outfitted with dual Ampere Altra Max and Ampere Altra processors per compute node, the Gigabyte H262-P61 is a 4-node system ideal for high-performance computing and cloud server deployment. CPU choices are limited to those with a thermal design point (TDP) of 250W with a maximum of 128x physical cores with Ampere Altra Max CPUs. Each node houses 2x 1GbE LAN ports, one of which is an Intel I350-AM2 port. In addition, each node also has a dedicated management port. A single chassis management controller (CMC) on the rear of the server chassis provides for management of all nodes in the chassis reducing cable clutter. Node expansion is achieved via dual PCIe x16 Gen4 low-profile slots in each node.
Powering this system are dual 2200W 80 PLUS Platinum power supplies in a redundant configuration, in the case of a power failure. The Gigabyte Management Console comes pre-installed on this server, which grants the ability to remotely manage the server via a web interface. 3rd party integration is simplified via the management console. To manage multiple servers, the Gigabyte Server Manger (GSM) offers many features and pairs seamlessly with the Gigabyte Management Console via the GSM Agent. System temperatures are regulated by 8x 80mm fans at 16,300rpm.
