The 24-bay, 2U Gigabyte H262-Z6A server features 4x rear-accessible servers nodes. 24x 2.5-inch Gen4 NVMe U.2/SATA hot-swappable SSD drive bays, are divided between the 4x nodes. Each node has 2x sockets that are powered by an AMD EPYC 7001, 7002, or 7003 series CPU with 8 to 64 cores. Each node can support up to 4TB of memory. Certain PCIe or memory functionalities will not be available if only 1 CPU is installed.
Ideal for high-performance computing and hybrid/private cloud server applications, this system can be monitored with the Gigabyte Management Console by leveraging the Aspeed AST2500 management controller. A CMC or Chassis management Controller port on the back of the system provides a unified global management option for just this single server of a full rack of servers.
As a 2U, high-density platform, the H262-Z6A server packs tons of performance under the lid. Divided equally between the nodes are 8x low-profile PCIe Gen4 x16 expansion slots and 4x M.2 slots with a PCIe Gen4 x4 interface supporting 2280 or 22110 cards. When all 16x DIMM slots are filled with 256GB memory modules, up to 4TB of DDR4 memory is offered with memory speeds of up to 3200MHz, per node. A maximum of 16TB of RAM can fit in the system's 64x DDR4 DIMM slots. System power is provided by dual 2200W 80 PLUS Platinum PSUs providing 1+1 redundancy. There are two revisions for this chassis, varying in processor families and memory support.
