EPYC 8004-series CPUs support up to 64 cores and 128 threads with a maximum cTDP of up to 225W. This system supports 12x memory module slots with a 6-channel memory architecture featuring DDR5 RDIMMs at up to 96GB per slot. This system is powered by a redundant 850W Titanium or 800W Platinum power supply, depending on the model revision.
Built for networking workloads, the R143-E30 Server features 4x 3.5" Gen5 NVMe/SATA/SAS4 hot-swappable drive bays on the front panel that are also compatible with 2.5-inch drive form factors. Under the hood, there is 1x M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 slot for 2280 and 22110 size cards. Administrators can access 2x PCIe Gen5 x16 FHHL slots by way of 2x different riser cards. Similarly, there are 2x OCP 3.0 slots with PCIe Gen5 x16 bandwidth.
To manage the system, users can deploy one of two Gigabyte management tools. Gigabyte Management Console, which is pre-installed can monitor and control a single system, while the Gigabyte Server Manager can manage multiple servers and is available to download.
