The Gigabyte R143-EG2 Rack Server houses a single AMD EPYC 8004 Series processor with 12x DDR5 DIMM slots. There are 12x bays in front with 4x 2.5-inch Gen4 NVMe/SATA/SAS hot-swappable drive bays along with 8x 2.5-inch SATA/SAS hot-swappable drive bays. System expansion is achieved with a single PCIe 5.0 x16 full-height, half-length slot and 2x PCIe 5.0 x16 full-height, full-length slots, one of which will be unavailable if a dual slot GPU is installed.
Featuring a 1U rackmountable chassis, the Gigabyte R143-EG2 server houses a single AMD EPYC 8004 Series processor and is designed for standard networking applications. Compatible CPUs house up to 64x physical cores and 128x virtual threads. System management capabilities are provided by a single LAN port found on the rear of the chassis. A single NVMe M.2 drive can be installed using a dedicated PCIe 3.0 x4 slot on the system board for additional super-fast storage or to boot the system. Powering this system are dual 1300W 80 PLUS Platinum power supplies in a 1 + 1 redundant configuration.
Management of the system can be handled by Gigabyte’s Server Management Console for a single system or the Gigabyte Server Manager (GSM) if managing multiple servers or large clusters.
