As a 1U rack system, the Gigabyte R162-Z10 server supports a single AMD EPYC processor from the 1st to the 3rd generation series families, depending on the revision. Up to 64 cores and 128 threads can power the most demanding workloads. Featuring an all NVMe 10x SFF drive bay format, this platform can also be configured with 6x SATA hot-swappable bays paired with 4x NVMe drives bays. Under the hood, the motherboard offers 3x M.2 slots with a PCIe Gen3 x4 interface for more super-fast storage or to boot the operating system.

Gigabyte R162-Z10 Server - System Overview

Description

The R162-Z10 rack server holds 8x DIMM slots with an 8-channel memory architecture. It delivers up to 2TB of memory when 256GB modules populate all 8x memory module slots. Memory speeds of up to 3200MHz are supported. There are two revisions of the Gigabyte R162-Z10 server, varying in AMD EPYC series CPUs and memory types.
