A single M.2 slot with a PCIe Gen3 x4 interface supporting 2280 or 22110 cards can be deployed for additional storage or to boot the operating system. Users can utilize the Gigabyte Management Console, which comes pre-installed on each server, to manage and maintain a server or a small cluster. For multiple servers or larger cluster of servers, Gigabyte offers Gigabyte Servers Management or GSM. Once the servers are operational, administrators can utilize the browser-based graphical user interface to control and monitor each server's health in real-time. This system is designed for standard networking applications such as uses as a shared file server, a shared VPN connection, use as a virtual server, and a shared Internet connection to name a few. There are 2 revisions for the R163-Z30: rev. AAB1 and rev. AAB2.
