Unlike x86 CPUs with simultaneous multithreading (SMT), these CPUs have a 1:1 ratio of cores to threads. The AmpereOne family starts at 136 cores and goes up to 192 cores with a TDP of up to 400W per CPU. The 1U platform has 1x M.2 slot with a PCIe Gen5 x4 interface and support for 2280 or 22110 cards. The Gigabyte R183-P92 server offers 2x PCIe Gen5 x16 FHHL slots on risers, plus 2x OCP 3.0 slots with a PCIe Gen5 x16 bandwidth for additional I/O that won’t detract from the PCIe slots. A 1+1 2000W 80 PLUS Platinum redundant power supplies can also be found on the rear of the chassis, next to the expansion slots. In addition, the machine supports 2x 1Gb/s LAN ports via an Intel I350-AM2 connection and a dedicated RJ45 management port. The Gigabyte Management Console, pre-installed on all servers, can be used to monitor and maintain a single system or a small cluster of servers. For data center applications with multiple servers or large clusters, the Gigabyte Server Manager (GSM) provides more extensive tools to manage the system.
