At 1U, the Gigabyte R183-S90 Server supports dual 4th or 5th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors and Intel’s Xeon CPU Max series which deliver even better CPU performance and performance per watt than previous generations. The PCIe 5.0 ready platform features 2x PCIe x16 expansion slots and an additional 2x OCP 3.0 x16 slots for optional NICs. The R183-S90 system processors offers an 8-channel DDR5 memory architecture for up to 8TB of RAM in 32x DIMM slots. 4x SFF or LFF hot-swappable drive bays on the front panel support Gen4 NVMe, SATA or SAS configurations depending on the revision. This server also supports Intel Optane Persistent 300 series memory modules (PMem).
This platform is ideal for networking applications including file storage, and for use as a shared internet connection, virtual server, and Intranet host. There are 4 revisions: rev. AAD1, rev. AAD2, rev. AAV1, rev. AAV2.
