Ideal for hosting websites, databases, and eCommerce applications, the Gigabyte R183-S92 server supports dual 4th or 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, plus Intel Xeon CPU Max Series processors. With an 8-channel memory architecture, the system delivers up to 8TB of DDR5 memory when 256GB 3DS RDIMM modules are installed, or up to 3TB of RAM with standard 96GB RDIMMs. The 1U platform features 12x 2.5" SATA/SAS hot-swappable bays, but a SAS card is required for SAS device support.
Intel Xeon CPU Max Series CPUs are designed to maximize memory bandwidth and can provide up to 56x physical processing cores plus up to 4.8-times the performance for real-world workloads like modeling, artificial intelligence, deep learning, and high-performance computing (HPC). 4th gen Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs will provide up to 60 cores while 5th gen CPUs with up to 64 cores each can be installed. Memory speed provided by each CPU is also variable depending on the generation, category, and memory modules installed.
5th Gen Intel Xeon: Up to *5600MHz (1DPC), 4400MHz (2DPC)
4th Gen Intel Xeon: Up to 4800MHz (1DPC), 4400MHz (2DPC)
Intel Xeon Max Series: Up to 4800MHz (1DPC), 4400MHz (2DPC)
The dual socket Gigabyte R183-S92 server supports 2x PCIe x16 (Gen5 x16) FHHL slots on two different riser cards, plus 2x OCP 3.0 slots with PCIe Gen5 x16 bandwidth. Every server comes with the Gigabyte Management Console pre-installed, which can be used to oversee and maintain a small cluster or a single server. Administrators can track and control each server's health in real time using the browser-based graphical user interface once it is up and running. For large clusters or groups of servers, Administrators can use the Gigabyte Server Manager, which provides more robust management features and leverages the Gigabyte Management Console. 1600W 80 PLUS Titanium redundant ( 1+1 ) power supplies are available. In order to save on power costs, Cold Redundancy enables one PSU to automatically power down into standby mode when the overall system load drops below 40%, thereby increasing power efficiency by 10%.
