Designed for networking and hybrid/private cloud server applications, the 1U Gigabyte R183-S95 Server delivers processing power via dual 4th or 5th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. Offering support for SAS, SATA and NVMe storage devices, there are 4x LFF drive bays up front. Two redundant 1600W 80 PLUS Platinum power sources are used to power this system.
In addition to standard Intel Xeon Scalable processors, Intel Xeon CPU Max Series CPUs are also supported and offer high bandwidth memory (HBM). All CPUs support an Intel C741 chipset and are limited to a TDP of up to 350W. It should be noted that, some PCIe or memory functions might be unavailable if only 1x CPU is installed. On the front of the chassis there are 4x hot-swap drive bays with lime green tabs supporting 3.5” or 2.5” drives with NVMe, SATA, or SAS4 configurations. Under the hood, the system offers 2x riser cards each with a single FHHL Gen5 x16 slot. In addition, there are 2x OCP NIC 3.0 Gen5 x16 slots for more networking options. The R183-S95 has 32x DDR5 memory module slots supported by an 8-channel memory architecture for up to 2x DIMMs per channel (2DPC). Memory rates vary from 4400 MT/s to 5600 MT/s, depending on the processor that is installed.

Gigabyte Management Console (GMC) and Gigabyte Server Management (GSM) provide easy access to the server's management features using an HTML5 interface available through a standard browser. Real-time monitoring of system health parameters, including component inventory, power consumption, and storage status, is made possible by these utilities, which support both local and remote administration. To improve system uptime and dependability, administrators can also set up alerts to respond effectively to possible hardware or operational problems.
