The Gigabyte R183-Z90 server supports 2x 4th or 5th generation AMD EPYC CPUs. There are 4x 3.5” or drive bays with either Gen4 NVMe, SATA and or SAS configurations, depending on the SKU. Under the lid, the machine features up to 24x DDR5 memory module slots. 3x Ultra-Fast NVMe M.2 slots on the motherboard have a PCIe Gen3 interface.
Designed for networking and use as a hybrid/private cloud server, the system can support up to 6TB of DDR5 RDIMM memory modules. Memory speed is dependent on the installed CPUs with 4th gen CPUs providing speeds of up to 4800MHz. With 5th gen Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs, memory speeds of up to 6000MHz are possible. As a network appliance, the R183-Z90 system can ideally be used as a virtual server, an intranet host, or file storage server among other business critical workloads. There are a few SKUs on this platform with different storage options and different dual redundant power supplies.
