The dual-socket Gigabyte R183-Z92 server offers PCIe 5.0 lanes, 12x DDR5 memory channels, and Compute Express Link capabilities all supported by the 5nm AMD EPYC 9004 series processors. The CPUs support up to 96 cores and 300W each, plus 24x memory module slots with up to 6TB of DDR5 memory. The system has several storage options including 3x M.2 PCIe Gen3 x2 cards with support for 2280 or 22110 cards inside the chassis. On the front panel, there are 12x 2.5” Gen4 NVMe, SATA, or SAS hot-swappable bays, depending on the chassis revision.
