Gigabyte R183-ZF2 Server - System Overview
Utilized for artificial intelligence, networking, visual computing, and other high-performance workloads, the 1U Gigabyte R183-ZF2 supports 4x FHFL PCIe Gen5 x16 slots for GPUs. 3x of the slots are accessible through the rear. Additional PCIe slots include 1x FHHL Gen5 x16 slot and 1x internal LP Gen5 x16 slot. For expanded networking capabilities, the system also features 1x OCP NIC 3.0 Gen5 x16 slot.
Each CPU offers 12x DIMM slots for a total of 24x memory module slots supported by a 12-channel memory architecture. RDIMM modules are supported at speeds of up to 4800 MT/s. For additional storage or OS boot purposes, the motherboard includes 1x M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 slot for 2280/22110 cards and another M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 slot for a 2280 card.
Gigabyte's Management Console (GMC) and Gigabyte Server Management (GSM) are two management software tools that can be deployed to keep an eye on the R183-ZF2 server. These applications give administrators the ability to remotely and locally monitor and manage servers. These software utilities provide system information including, inventories, power consumption, hard drives, and the ability to issue warnings, they also have an HTML 5 user interface that can be accessed using a standard browser.
