The 12-bay Gigabyte R263-Z34 Server supports LFF or SFF hot-swap drive bays on the front panel. 8x of these storage bays support SATA/SAS4 drive bays and the remaining 4x support Gen5 NVMe/SATA/SAS4 bays. SAS drives will require a SAS add-in card. To save a drive bay on the front, administrators can use the 1x M.2 slot on the motherboard with a PCIe Gen3 x4 interface to boot the operating system. The single socket platform can be outfitted with an AMD EPYC 9005 or 9004-series processor.
This 2U platform offers 4x FHHL PCIe Gen5 x16 slots by way of 2x riser cards and 2x PCIe cables. In addition to the expansion slots, the Gigabyte R263-Z34 delivers 2x OCP NIC 3.0 PCIe Gen5 x16 slots, which can be found directly under the full-height, half-length slots on the rear of the system. Up to 1TB of DDR5 RDIMM memory is supported when all 12x memory module slots are populated with 128GB DIMMs. When 5th generation CPUs are installed, speeds of up to 6000 MT/s can be reached as opposed to 4800 MT/s with 4th generation CPUs installed. Depending on the model revision, the server is powered by dual 1300W 80 PLUS Platinum or Titanium power supplies.
