The 2U Gigabyte R263-Z35 Server features up to 3x dual slot PCIe Gen5 x16 slots for full-height, full-length GPUs. The single socket system supports an AMD EPYC 9005 or 9004 series processor with a cTDP of up to 400W. These CPUs deliver up to 1TB of memory when all 12x DDR5 memory module slots are filled with 128GB RDIMMs. With 5th generation CPUs installed, memory speeds can reach up to 6000 MT/s, whereas 4th generation CPUs only support up to 4800 MT/s.
A total of 12x drive bays are available on the front of the Gigabyte R263-Z35, in which 8x support 3.5"/2.5" hot-swap drive bays with Gen5 NVMe/SATA/SAS4 configurations and the remaining 4x 3.5"/2.5" support SATA/SAS4 hot-swap bays. Under the hood, the system offers 1x M.2 slot with a PCIe Gen3 x4 interface to boot the operating system. Aside from the expansion slots, this machine also provides 2x OCP 3.0 Gen5 x16 slot with support for NCSI functions. The server is powered by redundant 2400W 80 PLUS Platinum or 2700W 80 PLUS Titanium power supplies, depending on the model revision.

To manage the system’s health, Gigabyte offers two software management tools at no cost. These software programs can be used at-chassis or remotely on web-browsers or through iOS or Android applications. The Gigabyte Management Console is pre-installed and can monitor a single server or a small cluster. Similarly, the Gigabyte Server Management suite is available for download and can help monitor and manage multiple servers or large server clusters.
