The single socket Gigabyte R263-Z36 Server features an AMD EPYC 9005 or 9004 series processor with up to 192 cores and a cTDP of up to 500W at 30°C ambient with an optional heatsink. The front of the system supports 24x 2.5" Gen5 NVMe hot-swap drive bays, meanwhile the motherboard offers a single M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 for 2280 or 22110 form factor cards. This machine can be powered by redundant 2000W power supplies, depending on the model revision.
Offering a 12-channel memory architecture, the Gigabyte R263-Z36 supports up to 1TB of memory when all 12x DDR5 DIMM slots are populated with 128GB RDIMMs. The system delivers optional RAID using NVMe and NVMe over Fabric (NVMe-oF) with SupremeRAID by Graid Technology, as well as a riser card with 1x Gen5 x16 FHHL slot. Just below this slot, there are 2x OCP 3.0 Gen5 x16 mezzanine card slots with one used to support the NVMe drives up front.

To manage the R263-Z36, Gigabyte offers two free-of-charge management tools which can be used at-chassis or remotely. The Gigabyte Management Console is pre-installed and can monitor and manage the system through a browser-based user interface. The Gigabyte Server Management (GSM) is available through download and can manage a large cluster of servers and complies with IPMI and Redfish standards. GSM mobile works with a smartphone or tablet and is compatible with iOS or Android operating systems.
