The Intel-based Gigabyte R264-SG0 Server supports a single Intel Xeon 6 processor from the 6700E-series, 6700P-series, and the 6500P-series with a maximum TDP of 350W. With an 8-channel memory architecture and 16x DIMM slots it can support 2 DIMMs per Channel (2DPC). Supported memory includes DDR5 RDIMMs and Multiplexer Combined Ranks DIMMs or MCR DIMMs. RDIMMs deliver speeds of up to 6400 MT/s. Using MCR DIMMs memory speed is up to 8000 MT/s. MCR DIMMs are only supported with Intel Xeon 6 CPUs with P-Cores in a 1DPC configuration.
Built for AI, visual computing, networking, use as a hybrid/private cloud server, and more, the 2U Gigabyte R264-SG0 offers 12x 3.5-inch SATA or SAS drive bays that can be configured with 2.5-inch drive form factors. The drive backplane supports SATA at up to 6Gb/s while SAS-4 drives connect to a 24Gb/s link interface. Similarly, there is 1x M.2 slot with a PCIe Gen5 x2 link interface. The system features 3x riser cards for 4x FHFL Gen5 x16 slots for dual slot Gen5 GPUs. A single 1x OCP 3.0 Gen5 x16 slot is also available offering advanced NIC options.
On the back of the chassis there are dual 3200W 80 Plus Titanium redundant power supplies. The R264-SG0 can be managed by Gigabyte’s proprietary management software, which comes pre-installed in all servers. The Gigabyte Management Console is ideal for managing individual systems or small clusters whereas the Gigabyte Server Management (GSM) tool can handle larger deployments by enabling real-time monitoring and management of server health through an intuitive, web-based interface.
