Gigabyte R283-S92 Server

This chassis features 24x Gen4 NVMe, SAS, SATA storage bays in front. With 8x revisions to the 2U Gigabyte R282-S92 Server, there are several options for storage configurations, although, a SAS card is required to enable SAS storage devices. Additional storage bays are located on the rear of the system. This platform offers dual 4th or 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs or Intel Xeon CPU Max series processors and supports up to 8TB of DDR5 Registered DIMMs (RDIMM) at capacity. Intel Optane Persistent Memory series 300 (PMem) are also supported. 4x full-height, full length PCIe 5.0 expansion slots provide options for network connectivity and drive controllers.

Gigabyte R283-S92 Server - System Overview

Supporting a number of standard networking workloads, this system can be used as a shared VPN connection, general file server, for use as a virtual server, as a shared Internet connection, and for many other uses. Standard network connectivity is via integrated dual 1GbE. The system is powered by dual redundant 2000W 80PLUS Titanium PSUs. Each of the revisions offers different storage options as listed below.
