Gigabyte R283-Z91 Server

Depending on the revision number, the 2U Gigabyte R283-Z91 Server supports various drive types including Gen 4 NVMe, SATA, and SAS. 2x drive bays in the rear support SAS or SATA drives. The system also has 3x M.2 slots on the system board. With dual AMD EPYC 9004 series processors and a thermal design range of up to 400W, the R283-Z91 can host CPUs with up to 96 cores each and up to 6TB of DDR5 3DS RDIMMs. 6x PCIe 5.0 expansion slots offer options for network and storage controllers in addition to improved performance for NVMe storage and I/O cards.

Designed for use as a network server appliance, the Gigabyte R283-Z91 Server supports business critical workloads like virtualization, use as a shared Internet connection, file access for remote workers via VPN, and general file storage to name a few. The main differences between the revisions on these platforms include storage and expansion slots supported. Powering the system are dual redundant PLUS Platinum 1600W power supplies.
