Featuring dual AMD EPYC 9004 series processors, the 2U Gigabyte R283-Z93 Server can deliver up to 6TB of DDR5 memory, plus PCIe 5.0 for improved performance with NVMe storage and I/O devices. This system has 12x color-coded 3.5-inch, hot-swappable storage bays up front that can support Gen4 NVMe in the trays with green tabs and SATA or SAS in the trays with blue tabs. 4x more SATA 2.5" hot-swappable drive bays are found on the rear of the chassis, plus a single M.2 slot on the system board. 4x PCIe 5.0 x16 expansion slots and 2x OCP mezzanine card slots provide options for network communications.
Designed for networking applications, such as a shared Internet connection, virtual server, or use as a general file server, there are two versions of the Gigabyte R283-Z93 Server. The only difference between the two options, revision AAF1 and revision AAL1, is the power supply wattage and rating.
