Designed for an OCP ecosystem, the 1OU, 2-node Gigabyte TO17-D82 Data Center Server supports Open Rack v3 (Orv3) specifications. This system fits in a 21-inch wide rack system that is open compute project (OCP) compatible. Power is provided at the rack level with a 48V to 54V DC bus bar power solution that the server connects to automatically when installed correctly. Each node supports dual AMD EPYC 9006 SP7 server processors and with 32 memory module slots divided between the two CPUs.
The CPUs have cold plate heat sinks and direct liquid cooling (DLC) with leak detection. With DLC, the Gigabyte TO17-D82 Server can support CPUs with a package power tracking (PPT) rating of up to 600W. with 16-channel memory architecture and 32x memory module slots per node memory can run at top memory speeds. For Registered DIMMs memory speeds of up to 8000MT/s are supported. Using Multiplexed Rank DIMMs (MRDIMM) can run at speeds of up to 12800MT/s. MRDIMMs are only supported on specific CPU SKUs.
Chassis Configurations
Gigabyte TO17-D82-L01 Server - CPU Direct liquid Cooling (DLC)
For expansion the TO17-D82 server nodes offer 2x low-profile PCIe Gen6 x16 slots. For storage, each server node is outfitted with 4x E3.S Gen6 NVMe drive bays. Each node also has a dedicated management LAN port on the front of the chassis for remote management of the system. That MLAN port accesses the ASPEED AST2700 baseboard management controller (BMC) for management and troubleshooting of the system.
