Additional InformationStorage along the front of the Gigabyte TO46-SD3-LA07 ORV3 Server includes 8x 2.5-inch Gen5 NVMe hot-swap bays. Additional storage is provided by dual PCIe Gen5 x4 slots that can be outfitted with up to 2x M.2 NVMe drives to boot the system. Supported processors include Intel Xeon 6700 and 6500-series processors with a thermal design power (TDP) rating of up to 350W. These CPUs feature up to 86 cores with P-cores and up to 144 cores with E-cores, plus 8-channel memory architecture. Each processor is in charge of 16x DDR5 DIMM slots for 32x DIMM slots with both processors installed.
Registered DIMMs (RDIMM) and Multiplexed Rank DIMMs (MRDIMM) are supported. Using RDIMMs will provide memory speeds of up to 6400MT/s. MRDIMMs can only be installed 1x DIMM per memory channel for a total of 8x MRDIMMs per CPU and memory speeds of up to 8000MT/s.
The system includes 2x 10Gb/s LAN ports for basic network communications. Additional network communications are provided by 8x OSFP XDR InfiniBand at data transfer rates of up to 800Gb/s or dual 400Gb/s Ethernet for GPU networking ports provided by NVIDIA ConnectX-8 SuperNICs. 4x additional full-height, half-length PCIe Gen5 x16 slots provide additional options for expansion.
