The ultra-dense HPE Cloudline CL3150 Gen10 server features a single AMD 7000 series EPYC processor and 8x DIMM slots with up to 512 GB of memory depending on the memory used. The SSD storage on this server is double stacked to achieve the 24-drive density of 2.5-inch drives in a 1U rack form chassis. This platform is ideal for big data applications, in-memory databases with fast persistent storage, and machine learning workloads.
Based on a single AMD EPYC processor, the HPE CL3150 delivers the latest in performance and security to address demanding workloads. The HPE CL3150 Gen10 server is compatible with a first-generation 7000 series CPU supporting up to 32 cores with 64 threads and a TDP of up to 180W, depending on the model. The processor also supports up to 8 memory channels with speeds up to 2667 MHz and 128 PCIe 3.0 lanes.
Each AMD EPYC family processor socket has eight memory channels per processor. With only eight DIMM slots available, each memory module will occupy its own memory channel for optimal performance on the Cloudline CL3150 Gen10 system. A maximum of 512 GB are supported when using Load Reduced (LRDIMM) memory modules, while a maximum of 256 GB are supported using Registered (RDIMM) memory modules. DIMMs of different speeds may be mixed in any order, but the server will default to the speed supported by the slowest components. The maximum memory speed depends on the memory type, memory configuration, and processor model. Quad rank RDIMMs are not supported in CL3150 Gen10 servers.
As a high-performance storage server, the system’s double-stack design houses 24x 2.5-inch SSD drives in a 1U chassis. The system supports either 24 NVMe SSD drives, or 22 NVMe SSD storage devices with 2 additional SATA SSD drives. The maximum internal storage capacity for both the NVMe SSD configuration and the NVMe/SATA configuration is 76.8 TB.
On the networking side, the system offers support for an OCP Mezzanine, 10/25/50GbE card options, and a 100GbE PCIe add-on card.
System management has been simplified with HPE’s Baseboard Management Controller (BMC). BMC is a microcontroller embedded on the system board which monitors the sensors built into the system, such as temperature and cooling. IT administrators can access the BMC remotely to retrieve logs, start, stop, or reset the system– without an additional cost or license. The system can also be managed through a 10/100M management LAN port, on board "KVM over IP" support, Redfish API, and Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI).
The HPE Cloudline CL3150 Gen10 server is the perfect solution for high-performance, resilient cloud solutions for hyperscalers. Powered by a first-generation AMD EPYC processor combined with NVMe SSD drives, this server has plenty of capabilities for modern cloud data centers to run a variety of applications at a large scale and continue to meet ever growing business needs.
