The 2U, 2-processor HPE ProLiant DL384 Gen12 supports dual NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips, offering a total of 1.2TB of ultra-fast unified memory. Each Grace CPU provides up to 72 Arm Neoverse V2 cores, up to 480GB of LPDDR5X memory, and delivers 4x PFLOPS of performance. Offering superfast interconnects and support for NVIDIA Infiniband and BlueField adapters, the system provides extremely low latency and reliability. The thermal design power (TDP) is configurable between 450W and 1000W, ensuring flexibility in power management. With a dual superchip configuration, 2x 1800W-2200W Flex Shot Titanium Hot-Plug power supplies power the entire system.
For expansion, the server features up to 4x PCIe Gen5 x16 slots across two risers, supporting configurations of up to 4x full height, half-length cards or a mix of 2x full height, half-length cards and 2x OCP 3.0 slots. The front panel is equipped with 8x EDSFF NVMe Gen5 drives for rapid storage access, while the system supports up to 2x M.2 devices for boot drives, with a recommendation to use M.2 solely for boot purposes and not local cache, given the absence of hardware RAID controllers in this generation. Integrated Lights Out management and firmware stack enhance overall management of the system both at chassis and remotely using a standard browser. ILO 6 makes monitoring, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting seamless from anywhere around the world.
