The HPE ProLiant DL20 Gen10 Plus Server is housed in a 1U chassis with a single socket compatible with Intel Xeon E-2300 Series. When fully configured, this system supports up to 128GB of memory. Dual non-hot pluggable large form factor (LFF) or dual hot-pluggable LFF drive bays are accessible from the front of the system. Another option on this system offers 4+2 small form factor, hot-pluggable drive bays. Dual PCIe 4.0 expansion slots are accessible from the rear of the system.
Designed to be compact and versatile at an affordable price point, the HPE ProLiant DL20 Gen10 Plus has a short chassis depth on only 15.05 inches. It supports a single Intel Xeon E-2300 Series or Pentium processor in its 1U chassis. A maximum of 128GB of DDR4 of memory is supported across its 4x DIMM slots. The front of the system holds 2x LFF 3.5-inch drive bays with a choice between hot-pluggable or non-hot pluggable drives. A 4+2x SFF 2.5-inch drive bay configuration offers 4x default storage bays with an option for 2x more. The rear of the system houses dual PCIe 4.0 expansion slots. Either a 290W entry-level power supply, a 500W Flex Slot redundant power supply, or a 800W 48VDC Flex Slot redundant power supply powers this system.
Either a single Intel Pentium or Xeon E-2300 Series processor with a core count between 4x or 8x can be installed. Some of these processors have up to 16MB of Intel Smart Cache. CPU power consumption ranges between 58W to 95W and deliver an enticing combination of performance with cost-effectiveness.
Storage solutions on this system include 2x LFF drive bays, either hot-pluggable or non-hot pluggable storage devices. Drive access is from the front of the chassis. A variation of this system houses 4x+2x SFF drive bays. This system also supports dual M.2 drive slots for fast access storage or to host the OS in mirror mode for redundancy. The system can also be configured with an optional DVD-ROM or DVD-RW device on the SFF chassis. The system is also compatible with virtual RAID on CPU (VROC) with software RAID and supports RAID levels of 0, 1, 5, and 10. Additional HPE Smart Array controllers are supported.
There are 2 memory channels per processor and 2 DIMM slots per channel on the HPE DL20 Gen10 Plus Server for a total of 4x DIMM on the system board. Memory slots are compatible with DDR4 memory modules. Depending on the chosen processor, memory speeds of 2666MT/s or 3200MT/s are supported. A maximum memory capacity of up to 128GB is achieved using 4 x 32GB Unbuffered (UDIMM) DIMM modules.
Dual PCIe 4.0 on the system board are accessible from the rear of the chassis and provide additional options for I/O and storage controllers. One of the slots is low-profile with a connector width of x8. The second slot is full-height, full-length with a connector width of x16.
System management is primarily achieved through the HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) 5.0 module. This grants access to service alerting, remote management, and issue reporting. To improve management security, administrators can install a dedicated management port kit.
